Spain`s greatest blues star, has earned eight platinum records for sales of his records in his long career and has released 27 albums since 1991.
In 1990 he put together his own band, the Vargas Blues Band, with which he performed in 1996 at the 30th anniversary of the famous Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland. Javier played with Carlos Santana and Prince, had guest appearances with Glenn Hughes, Jack Bruce, Alex Ligertwood, Devon Allman.
In March 2011 Javier started a new project: “VBA” and traveled to Las Vegas to record a CD with the legendary Carmine Appice (drums), Tim Bogert (bass) - both formerly with Vanilla Fudge, Cactus and with Paul Shortino (vocals) to record.
In 2019 he worked with John Byron Jagger, which resulted in the album “Move” and had international success with the instrumental album “Del Sur”. The latest album “Back in Memphis” was brought along.
