After his debut album „Thunder In The Sky" in 2012, 24 year old Laurence Jones from Britain was celebrated as the „head boy of the new breed".
At the 2016 British Blues Awards Laurence won "Guitarist of the Year" and entered the "Hall of Fame" for winning "Young Artist" three years in a row (2014 – 2016). His band was runner up in "Best Band" and Roger Inniss runner up in "Best Bass Player".
With his energetic shows Jones has conquered mainland Europe.
Traveling with the „Blues Caravan" he issued with German's „Ruf Records" in 2014 the album „Temptation", followed by „What's It Gonna Be" and in 2016 „Take Me High" supported on harmonica by the Bluesband's Paul Jones.
Mostly guitarist Jones is working in a trio with bassist Roger Inniss alternating with European or American drummers. Sometimes there is guesting Bob Fridzema from the Netherlands on keyboards. Producer's legend Mike Vernon is promoting and supporting Jones's career.
Modern and classic blues will be closing the 23rd Blueslawine in an impressive way.

Young Lisa Lystam has come out of nowhere on the blues scene of Scandinavia and soon made a name for herself in blues and roots music. Blues magazine „Jefferson" wrote, she's „the new Swedish sensation".
Starting as a trio the Family Band was formed in 2013, issuing an EP to begin with. 2014, now a six piece band, they appeared on numerous festivals in Sweden and in Northern Germany, followed by the album „When Money's Runnin' Out".
Lystam also supported Torbjörn Risager's band „Black Tornado" as back-up singer. With the new album „Give You Everything" the Lisa Lystam Family Band is now on tour in Scandinavia and Germany.
We're looking forward to fresh blues, roots and rock music.

Guitarist, singer and songwriter James Armstrong was born to play the blues. His father played jazz guitar and his mother was a singer. By the age of 17, when he was a student, he formed his first band. Today he travels the world with his seasoned skills as a musician.
In the early 90s James got plenty of exposure to his musical influences, including Albert Collins, who taught James a few tricks on the guitar. After finishing his first album „Sleeping With A Stranger", events surrounding a home invasion left Armstrong without the use of his left arm which was injured. This threatened to end his career forever. But, thanks to a good medical treatment and the support of the blues community Armstrong came back two years later with the second album „Dark Night", followed by three more CDs over the years.
In the blues world Armstrong is known as one of the best live acts and he will open the evening in Osnabrueck with classic blues, garnished with jazz and funk.
James Armstrong: vocals & guitar, fellow American Darryl Wright, vocals & bass, and from Italy Henry Carpaneto, vocals and piano and Emmanuele Rivara on drums.
